If you answered yes, our Annual Family Retreat is perfect for you. Whether young or old, newly diagnosed or a long-time veteran, if you have T1D or support someone with it, everyone is invited!

Our annual family retreat is designed to help T1D families and Adult T1Ds network, learn, and grow!

Our itinerary features a day of interactive guest speakers who cover critical topics, including family dynamics, the significance of nutrition and exercise, candid insights into the challenges of living with Type 1 diabetes, and other T1D-related subjects.

Attendees also participate in breakout groups, scavenger hunts, and interactive Q&A sessions tailored to encompass the entire family.

On Saturday Night, we will host a formal dinner, followed by a networking opportunity for families. You can also swim!

Continental Breakfast will be served by the hotel in the morning, and brought back to our convention hall for a T1D family breakfast!

This year's topics of focus include:

Medicaid and Marketplace navigation, including 1-on-1 counseling, is available.

• T1D rights in the classroom and workplace

• and many more subjects.

We also run an awesome raffle every year, where any T1D under 18 gets a FREE raffle ticket to WIN a FREE Campership to Camp MYDA. This year, a donor stepped up and donated another FREE Campership to be raffled off. That's right.

VENDORS GALORE

We will also include all the companies you use daily, including pump and insulin companies, as well as other diabetes-related vendors.

This is one of our family's favorite parts of the family retreat.

During parts of the day, we will have adult-supervised, adult-led kid breakout groups, allowing parents to focus on speakers while the kids can have fun.

We will also have Trial-Net available to test your non-T1D family members for the T1D antibodies. This is a FREE service.

HOTEL ROOMS

This year, the Family Retreat will once again be held at the Copper King Convention Center in Butte, Montana.

We have 50 rooms at a reduced rate of $169 + tax a night. You will have to call and reserve a room separately from your event tickets.

The rooms will be held until FEBRUARY 20TH.

You do NOT need to stay at the hotel, although most families do. You can find other accommodations if you wish.

In addition, some families choose to stay two nights; they come in on Friday night to get moving first thing Saturday morning. While not part of the official event, we usually get together on Friday night to network and meet each other. This is a great time to meet new families and talk with someone who "gets it." But once again, it's not part of the regular event; it's just something that naturally happens when you get a T1D family together.

TICKET PRICING

This year's pricing will be:

$75 per adult 18+

$40 for children ages 6-17

Ages 0-5 come free

 

Your tickets will include admission to the event, Lunch, and our formal dinner on Saturday (casual clothes are ok).
